Equine Athletes is family owned and
operated. It started with Robin over 20 years ago
hitting the pavement sharing her love and knowledge
of working with foals. Now after a few twist and turns
in the road, Equine Athletes is born and a new and
better journey has begun.
Robin:
I've been working horses and getting paid for
it about 17 years now. I've been riding all my
life. It has been my life long dream to be a horse
trainer and share my passion with all that I meet.
Through the years I've perfected my own style
of imprinting and training foals, weanlings, yearlings
and pretty much any horse that has come my way.
I like to think of myself as the kindergarten
teacher of horses. I attended Veterinary technician
school back in the early 90's and have used that
back ground to better understand horses. In 2001
I went back to school to become a Certified Equine
Sports Massage Therapist. I have added massage
also to my training techniques. I strive each
and every day to make my training and massage
make a difference for the horses I touch. I wish
to continue to share what I know with the people
and horses I meet.
Cheyenne Kristine:
I'm so very happy to have my daughter Cheyenne
working side by side with me now. Even though
she is only in her teens she is a beautiful horsewoman.
She is so natural at what she does it is inspiring
to watch. She has the patience and instincts of
a seasoned horse trainer. Many times I just sit
and watch her work, thinking to myself, "wow that's
my kid". She has friends and local trainers alike
asking me if I'll let her start their horse for
them. Cheyenne is truly a young talent that will
continue to grow and get even better at what she
does. I love that she is now part of my team and
I love that we can spend more time together and
grow together as horsewomen. I'm so very proud
of her and what she had accomplished.
*** Please remember that massage
is not a replacement for veterinary care.
I will be glad to work with your vet to get your horse back out
competing ASAP. ***
